Commitees of Safety Constitutionally mandated

I drove up in a van with Walter Reddy to the Ron Paul rally in St. Paul Minnesota last year. The committees of safety are a state regulated citizen's militia group. It is based on the second amendment, " A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. The name was changed from militia to committees of safety for the reason of the negative connotation attached to the word militia by the Socialists and anti-gun nuts. At the beginning of this country, nobody even had heard of the term socialist since it was naturally assumed that one was responsible for his own well-being. The concept of self-reliance was a given.
